All media outlets that seek to exclusively record the Sonic Boom of the South (and the visiting band) during our home games will have to purchase proper credentials. Failure to purchase proper credentials will result in immediate dismissal from stadium grounds by stadium security- credentials will be checked. Purchasing credentials will only include:

Filming the band march in and out (at no time should media go through the band or get in the way of SBOTS media, banner carriers, drummajors, dancers, directors, etc) and must be at least 10 feet away from the front of the band.
Film the bands while in the stands (all media will have to set up in a destinated area in the "horseshoe," and nowhere on the field) during the game and zero quarter. If stadium officials/security allows, media can record midway between bands during the 5th quarter. At no time should cameras be placed right underneath the band or dancers.
Film field shows from outside the press box perspective (this does NOT give access within the press box). Media can film footage of bands 5ft away from the sidelines on the field level. At no times should they enter the field for footage or get in the way of SBOTS media.
There will be an additional fee for media attempting to go live (see below). All media outlets will have to follow all guidelines specified above while going live and must not film while around/in close proximity of bands when they're not playing/performing (i.e. after kick downs, before field shows, etc)

Please know that the Sonic Boom is very appreciative for your coverage to showcase our students talents to a national audience however, we also understand that our program provides viewership/revenue to your channel which is why it has been decided to charge. We also understand that some media outlets may not have their pages monetized which is why we've decreased the payment amount from last year. We hope that you will understand this initiative as we continue to explore opportunities to support our program financially for our students hard work.

Regular Media Credential + Live - $300

This will be a one time payment for all JSU home games. If you would like to collaborate with the JSU Band program by promoting JSU Bands events, please email us at jsubands@jsums.edu. If collaboration is activated, there may be incentives for the media outlets.
